WURMAGOTCHI FLASHER

Flash the WURMAgotchi firmware onto a Cheap Yellow Display (ESP32-2432S028R) directly from this page - no software to install.

Requirements

Chrome or Edge on a desktop computer (Web Serial isn't supported in Firefox, Safari, or on mobile).

Install

Your browser doesn't support Web Serial - open this page in Chrome or Edge on a desktop. This page needs to be served over HTTPS (or from localhost) for the browser to allow serial access.

Click, pick the board's serial port from the browser's popup, then choose "Install" in the tool that opens. Takes under a minute.

Good to know

This writes the bootloader, partition table, and application - everything needed for a completely blank board to boot. It does not touch saved data (your pet, settings, achievements), which lives in a separate flash region.
If the connection fails partway through, unplug/replug the board and try again - a half-written flash is safe to just retry.
If the browser can't find the port at all, close any other program that might be holding it open (Arduino IDE's Serial Monitor, PlatformIO, etc).
